The story of Moses and the children of Israel is the story of freedom and from that story we learn the importance of the leadership of Moses and how his heart and mind were filled with the power and the presence of God. We learn about liberty and order and responsibility.
We have been given a fragile treasure and we must hold it dearly. All help must come from the God with in, which is what Moses and our founding Fathers understood. On this 4th of July let us remember that freedom is a fragile thing, let us honor it today and everyday and remember that it is as old as the initial books in the Bible. Freedom is the story that has been carried forth from generation to generation and it is up to us to never let it go. Treasure it with all your heart and mind.
